Parfait is a simple breakfast or snack that gives one utmost satisfaction for its taste. It is also known as a fruit dessert. Its main ingredient is yoghurt with granola or nuts. It is also highly nutritious, especially in the high Vitamin content in the fruits.
Tools: There are some kitchen utensils you need to make any Parfait:
4 cups or small bowls
A Cutting board
2 Measuring cups
2 Measuring spoons
A Sharp knife
A Fork

INGREDIENTS

FRUIT PARFAIT
Granola
Yoghurt (non-sweetened, vanilla or strawberry)
Flavouring (Fruits: apple, banana, watermelon, coconut, pear, pineapple, berries, mangoes, kiwi, peaches etc.)

FOR YOGHURT PARFAIT
2-3 cups of vanilla non-fat yoghurt
1 cup of granola or walnut
1 Coconut
8 fresh blackberries, raspberries or blueberries
1 cup of strawberry juice

Recipe for Fruit and Yoghurt Parfait
i. Cut and dice the fruits into desired sizes. Mix them in a bowl. You can separate the fruits if you want.
ii. Break the coconut, remove its flesh and cut into thin strips.
iii. Pour a third of a cup of vanilla yoghurt or any desired yoghurt into each of the four cups.
iv. Mix the strawberry juice with the berries and pour on the yoghurt. For fruit parfait, top the berries with the fruits.
v. Top the mix with granola and coconut strips or walnut.
vi. Repeat Steps 3 to 5 (in the same cup) till each cup is filled.
vii. Best served chill.

ACAI YOGHURT PARFAIT

INGREDIENTS
1 sachet of Organic Acai Pulp
½ Bowl of Yoghurt
1 Cup of Cagac nibs
1 Cup of Homemade Granola

RECIPE FOR ACAI YOGHURT PARFAIT
i. Thaw the acai pulp
ii. Pour the acai into the yoghurt
iii. Add the toppings, which may include granola, fruits or nuts.
iv. Serve chill.

GRANOLA AND YOGHURT FRUIT PARFAITS
INGREDIENTS
Fruits
1 ½ Cups of Fresh Raspberries
2 Cups of Blueberries
2 Nectarines
¼ Cup of Sugar
1 Cup of Granola
1 Cup of Yoghurt

Recipe for Fruit and Yoghurt Parfait
i. Add sugar to the bowl of fresh raspberries.
ii. Mash the raspberries and sugar with a fork to create a raspberry sauce.
iii. Dice the nectarines.
iv. Cut off the pineapple peel and dice its fleshy part. Mix with blueberries in a bowl. Add some mint leaves.
v. Layer the bottom of three cups with the yoghurt. Top the yoghurt with the raspberry sauce and add the mixed fruits, and spread a spoonful of granolas on the mix.
vi. Repeat the layering process on each of the cups.

THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF PARFAITS
French Parfait – a frozen dessert made from egg, sugar syrup and cream.
American Parfait
Acai Berry Parfait – acai berries are grapelike fruits that are rich in antioxidants and fibre. They are added to a parfait ingredient and melt soon after.
Frozen Yoghurt Parfait – a type of parfait made with low-fat yoghurt, strawberries and granola. Frozen yoghurt is often contrasted with ice cream.
Japanese Style Parfait – it originated in France but made popular in Japan.

Eating the Parfait
Parfaits can be eaten as snacks, breakfast or dessert. They can also be eaten at any time of the day.
