HOW TO MAKE MEAT PIE

Pie is a type of pastry consisting of an outer crust of pastry and a filling of vegetables and minced meat. It is a highly nutritious meal with a lot of nutrients. Other names for meat pie include patty, pastry, and pasty.


Tools: there are some kitchen utensils you need to make Meat Pie:
Mixing bowls
Pastry brush
Pie crust cutter
Wooden rolling pin
Rolling board
Pie dish
Silpat
Pastry blender
Frying Pan
NOTE: Fridge may be needed

INGREDIENTS
4 cups of all-purpose flour
2 cups of Water
1-2 large Onion bulb(s)
¾ pound of Ground or minced Meat
2 tablespoonfuls of Vegetable oil
200g Butter
Curry
1 teaspoonful of thyme
Salt
1 tablespoonful of sugar
2 Eggs
2 Seasoning cubes
Chopped pepper
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon of Baking Powder
1 medium-sized Potato
1 large Carrot (peeled and diced into cubes)

Recipe for Meat Pie
i. Place a frying pan on medium heat. Add some oil and let it heat up for about two minutes. Chop the onion and add the onion to heating oil. Stir slowly.
ii. Add the minced meat, stir and allow to cook for some minutes.
iii. Add the seasoning cubes, curry powder, thyme, garlic powder, chopped pepper, diced potatoes and mix. Add carrots and mix again. Add little flour, ½ a cup of water and stir. Cover the mixture and allow to cook for about 20 minutes until it thickens.
iv. Pour the flour into a bowl, add some salt, sugar, butter, baking powder and mix well till crumbs are formed. Break 2 eggs into a bowl, beat it gently and add to the mixture. Add little water and mix till it forms a dough. Wrap the dough and put it in a fridge for about 30 minutes.
v. Cut the dough into medium sizes and knead with the rolling pin. Cut the kneaded dough with a round object into a round shape.
vi. Pour some of the fillings into one half of the dough and cover with the other half. To seal it, use a fork to press the dough’s edge, which has formed a half-circular shape. Do this several times on different kneaded dough and neatly arrange it on a tray. Spray them lightly with oil and poke them with the fork.
vii. Heat the oven to 175C. Place in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes. The pies should have become golden and a partly dry surface by now.
viii. Remove the meat pies from the oven and allow them to cool.
ix. Serve with any preferred drinks.
